Honeywell J78 Low Pressure Gas Regulator

If Gas Pressure needs to be controlled on small, domestic systems then the J78 Range is a compact and economical range of Gas Regulators manufactured by Honeywell. The J78 can be supplied in a 15mm, 20mm and 25mm version, all with a BSP Female threaded connection. These Gas Regulators are ideal to fit into tight spaces as they can be installed in either horizontal or vertical planes of pipework.

The J78 uses internal pressure sensing to control inlet pressures up to 350mbar down to a safer, lower pressure of up to 40mbar. Certain sizes of the J78 can allow outlet pressures slightly higher than this up to 46mbar. The spring table on the datasheet will show this in greater detail. All J78 regulators are suitable for use with Natural, Liquefied Petroleum, and Manufactured Gases.

Similar to the J48 from Honeywell, the J78 has features such as positive lock-up for when the flow rate drops down to ensure the safety of devices further downstream. There's also a breather port on the J78 which will vent small amounts of gas to help keep the outlet pressure to what is preset into the regulator. The J78R has a plain connection on the breather port itself and the J78RS features a 1/4" Female threaded connection on the port. The venting feature is not strictly required but available to be used if needs be.
